Alhambra + Albaicin und Sacromonte

A complete picture of Granada in one private tour: 3 hours Alhambra plus 2 hours Albaicín, with clear explanation, viewpoints and good travel orientation. This combination is ideal if you really want to understand Granada: first the Alhambra with its palaces, gardens and the fortress, afterwards the Albaicín and, if desired, Sacromonte with its viewpoints and cave districts. In this way you see not only the monuments, but also the city that has grown around them.
We explain clearly what you see, why it was built this way and which stories lie behind the details. In addition, you receive clear orientation for your stay without losing time: where the visit is worthwhile, when the best atmosphere is and what you should better avoid.

Meeting point, there are also toilets nearby and a cafeteria

Generalife

The gardens of the Generalife were the summer palace of the Nasrid Sultans and are a perfect example of Islamic horticulture. The harmonious combination of water, plants and architecture creates a peaceful oasis that invites you to linger

Palace of Charles V

This palace, which was built in the 16th century, stands in stark contrast to the Islamic architecture of the Alhambra. The monumental building now houses the Alhambra Museum and impresses with its circular courtyard and Renaissance architecture.

Alcazaba

The Alcazaba is the oldest fortress in the Alhambra and offers breathtaking panoramic views over the city of Granada and the surrounding mountains. From the towers of the Alcazaba, visitors can understand the strategic importance of this fortress

Mexuar

The Mexuar was the administrative wing of the Alhambra and served as a reception hall and courtroom. The ornately decorated rooms and the impressive ceiling work make this part of the Alhambra particularly worth seeing

Nasrid Palaces

These palaces are the centrepiece of the Alhambra and a masterpiece of Islamic architecture. They consist of several areas, including the Courtyard of the Lions (Patio de los Leones) and the Courtyard of the Myrtles (Patio de los Arrayanes), which are known for their ornate decorations and beautiful courtyards

Plaza Nueva

Meeting point for the start of the Albayzin tour. Granada's Plaza Nueva is a lively historic square in the heart of the city, ideal for strolling and enjoying the lively atmosphere. Flanked by the Real Chancillería and close to the River Darro, it connects the centre with the Albaicín and offers breathtaking views of the Alhambra

Paseo de los Tristes

A picturesque promenade along the Darro River, surrounded by historic buildings and with privileged views of the Alhambra, which owes its name to the passage of funeral processions in the past

Mirador de la Victoria

The Mirador de la Victoria is located in the Albaicín and offers a quiet and less crowded view of the Alhambra, ideal for enjoying the scenery in a relaxed atmosphere

Aljibe Trillo

A charming little cistern in the Albaicín that reflects the Nasrid heritage and the importance of water in Granada's traditional architecture

Mirador de San Nicolás

A lesser-known viewpoint that offers panoramic views of both the Alhambra and the historic neighbourhoods and is perfect for those looking for a more intimate setting

Mirador de la Vereda de Enmedio

It is located in the Sacromonte and combines breathtaking views of the Alhambra with the charm of the neighbourhood's traditional cave houses

Sacromonte

An emblematic neighbourhood of Granada, famous for its cave houses, its lively flamenco tradition and its close relationship with gypsy culture
